The OOA is managed by three executive directors and a manager. The management team is responsible for the education program, and the design and implementation of new policies. They are assisted by a supportive staff and the OOA PhD council.

The interests of PhD candidates are represented by the PhD candidate council. The council advises the management team and organizes (social) events to stimulate close connections between PhD candidates. The council is made up of PhD candidates from each institute and serves as a bridge between PhD candidates and the management team.
